I like Pearl Jam but they are FAR from the top. Where's Kiss? And all of the other bands mentioned. The point is there are too many good bands. Everyone has a different perception on what's the best.

Kiss and Guns are definitely ones that should be on that list. If I were to take any band from that "Pearl Jam" era, it would be AIC, hands down. Great rock band...

Hey I agree with you KC But I do Like Pearl Jam. It's Wierd Not a lota people here like the ol' Pearl jam. I dig um because if you see um live they Rock!! and also they are great song writers. They do thing there way and made it to the top. One of teh few bands that didn't use the "copy Van Halen " formula. I really dig how they create music. and dig the grove. Not all thier songs are just hard N heavy cookie cutter hits. Just a good deep thought,Feeling, get lost in groove thang!! and Hey if I didn't have Van Halen Aerosmith yould be my band right now. New album being worked on soon by those guys. The're starting to give the rolling stones a run for their money.

I guess we should thank our luck stars that Nirvana never made the top spot. Though I'm suprised as they were Pearl Jams biggest rival, and its probably the grunge heads that voted for this bullshit.

Metallica was a lot better than people give them credit for, they have truly genious compositions like call of the ktulu and orion which are 8+ min instrumentals. Beavis knows what I'm talkin about!

So do a lot of other people..... One, Master of Puppets, etc.....those influenced rock just as Eruption did for VH. For a little guy, Lars can sure play the drums and he influenced a lot of my friends to play a double bass setup when One was released.

i have to agree the call of ktulu and orion are unbeliavable intstrumentals. the only ones i think that are almost as good as baluchterium.
To Live Is To Die is the best out of the three, even though techniacally it isn't a instrumental

I don't count the when a man lies he murders some part of the earth, its only about 20 seconds of a 9:48 song, but I agree it is the best, very powerful. Cliff Burton was a genious. It's hard to tell that you're a metallica fan by your screen name there! ;)
