Remember the curiousity of the world as a child? remember tinker toys? remember exploring your world? this things that are magnified to us when we were children are the same building blocks eddie uses. innovation of sound & application, originality in craftmanship of the guitar, both in artistry & design, like water into wine, the transformation perpetuated. The fascination with eddie vanhalen is a representation of what we, or some people relate to and agree with on another level of our own reality, meaning he is living the life of what many young, now mostly older generation would desire to have. SOMETHING TO FILL IN THE HOLES??? ring a bell?? with out EVH gee, I wonder who the other guitar hero would be to to satisfy our lack of Identity???, and help us to be larger than life?? no disrespect to evh, he has worked hard for his place in life, I'am sure. Just look in to what you can be, perhaps the new sight and sound of a guitar generation!! I wish eddie the best of health and continuig success, and pray for peace and harmony all his remaining days on this planet. eddie if you find yourself reading this, I've been playing since I was 5 years old, like you moved from my homeland to the united states, my dad played guitar, and my mom owwned a nightclub in san juan puerto rico. growing up I played in all sorts of bands solo, 2 piece, 3 piece, 4,5, etc... I remember back when mtv came on the scene, and at that time we, ground zero had 278 songlist with 20 originals, and yes we did the flyer thing our own fly by the seat of our pants management. and had a tight following, mtv had a basement tapes contest, trying to see what talent was out there and un-heard of. Rail a band out of the Seattle-bellvue area of washington state won. then in turn searching for a band to open for them. several bands auditioned, and in the end we won:) it is my love for the guitar, and what I can make it do for me. the hell with costumes & glamour I love to entertain people, period. anyway best of luck on your tour and maybe one day we can jam. Sincerly, JJ Highstreet Groundzero5150@hotmail.com Peace. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banana.gif
