Just getting really sick and tired of waiting for the VH camp to update there friggin' website. I mean, Christ, it's not that difficult. Everyday a new fan, or a curious old one visits the site, they are thinking Eddie has just checked into, or is still attending a rehabilitation program.

HE WAS AT A NASCAR EVENT! He couldn't have been in rehab for more than 4 weeks max. So what's all this "SOBERIN UP CRAP" going to amount to in terms of new music and a revamped future. The future for Van Halen is dark, and frankly, I believe Eddie checked himself into rehab to avoid dealing with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame car-wreck.

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding.

The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Then, later, they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."

So they then decided they'd both walk! Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So, they both rode the donkey. Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey.

The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decide to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal & he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?
If you try to please everyone, you might as well...

It was annoying as well.... and If you don't really care about the "truth" in terms of what's going on with (what I assume to be your favorite band) and you are not a little "angry" at this point.... Then what are you doing on this site? Just making new friends? Try friendfinder.com for that. I'd be stoked to share fun VH stories with the rest of the VHstrungout population, however there hasn't been one to share in quite some time. Would you rather me post a new thread entitled "Cabo Wabo Taste Test"...geeeee I really do prefer it with a hint of lime myself. We need to motivate VH to get there asses in gear. I don't know about donkey's but eddie hasn't pleased one single fan in long long time. Forget about "pleasing everyone"

No sweat Matt, to each his own. (However, you can take the comment about Steve and shove it up you know where...:evil:...Steve and I ain't nothing alike, trust me...) More than anything I just get tired of the redundant questions, that's all. It's as if some of the folks around here actually believe that the members of the band, and especially Edward, take the time to read our posts and ramblings.


NEWS FLASH!!! - They don't...so try and limit your whining about why there isn't any new news or why Ed doesn't call you or why does Sammy promote his business that makes him millions of $$, or why doesn't DLR come out with a news conference regarding the status of the 2007 tour that never happened, etc, etc, etc...:blah::blah:...frankly, it's boring.

Not all of them, but some of them.
This is the largest VH posting network on the web. You can use it as a tool to get the band back together. There are in a time of crisis. They may be over for good this time. And frankly, if you are content with that, then you are not a fan and live in the past. to be a tru fan, you must look toward the future with vigor. Sports teams are nothing without there fans, and it's the same with music. When you bring your apatheic attitude to the table, you bring what I like to call "empty posts".... Posts with no passion. Posts that just "fluff", no opinion, lowsey jokes, trite topics..... Boring, useless, conversation. So I ask you to join me in an alliance to no bring back the past, not rehash the years, but prepair to and help guide the future. The future of a band that still has a few great albums left to go... The future of out favorite band in the world. Van Halen. It's tough love, but some of us do really care.

Here's why, I enjoy there music, and the power they had. I will miss the compodrade and or friendship that saw over the years, now it is time to say with all do respect, GET OFF YOUR HIGH ASS VAN HALEN AND PLEASE YOUR FANS THAT YOU HAVE LEFT! I think the membership numbers are as about as low now as they were when Cherone was singing? Sad as it maybe it's true.

if anything, Ed owes all who went to the 2004 tour a real performance...i never seen ed before that and really wouldnt pay to see it again unless hes at the top of his game...and it looks like he wants to go there...but without mike it will be too different...there should be the last VH tour with all original members then ed does his solo or whatever thing....thats would be the smart route

i hear you 14. you're right in what you say. nobody owes anybody, to say it best. i dont think ed, persoanlly, owes anybody or any of us for that matter, a damned thing; EXCEPT, in all honesty though, speaking as a musician for a minute and taking axeshredders's point based on the 2004 tour which, to many fans, musicians, aspiriing musicians, etc., there were a good deal of horrible shows that were so off, due in large part to ed's problems, that those of us like axeshredder, felt really slighted by a very below par and bombed ed. hey, alcoholism is a disease, combined with personal problems, the rigors of touring and so on; those shows were a pure letdown; and some may even say, an insult to himself, themselves and to the fans (especially for those of us who have had the pleaseure of seeing vh & mainly ed, on TOP of the game at previous concerts such as the f.u.c.k., balance or vhlll tours). if that's what is being referred to, based on that alone and all the years of silence that went along with it, then to tour without supporting a new album, pissed off thousands of fans. well, i can understand the 'ed owes us an apology.....etc.' point. but hey, there will never be one (it would've been nice and should have happened then). i agree at this point there really IS NO BAND per say. maybe there will not be one either. as so many have said, if this is their 'end', then say it is. (i hope not, that would just F'n SUCK!) if their is a future for VH, i dont think it could, i could be wrong, endure such a heavy lineup overhaul with a new bassist and different frontman..... i just can't see that as a probable possibility. that would be devastating and really, really isnt what 'we' are all looking for. to do this right, to 'keep the faith', to show the 'world' how damned great VH can still be, and still is, yes, whatever way they need to do it, bury the hatchet with the 2 guys who really made VH.... MA & DLR. that said, we (meaning they)are all grown up now, the rifts and emotional pain and the scars left, must BE just that, left behind in order for any possible future or 'reunion'. hug, shake hands, kiss, whatever!! look one another in the eyes like men, and thank 'em all; for without those 2 guys, there would never have been a Van Halen. VH would never have been what it was and what it then became. THEN, get into the F'n studio and blow the walls down and blow our damned little rocker minds!! show us musicians that we havent learned quite enough yet! show us that YOU still RULE and that YOU & VH are atop its game. take all the years of silence and insanity and put an album out that we cant put down; that'll make us guitarists scratch our heads for a long time to figure out just how the F you did such and such. yeah... thats what I'M talking about! THAT'S Van Halen!! then... do a tour in support of that, and GO MOTHERFU#@ER's GO!!! do it now, before it's too late and then you cant do it at all. it's got to be right there at the presipice of their mind's just waiting, BUT, now that rehab is done, what's going on or going to happen, is what's on all our mind's. it IS great to see ed out and about, but, what's the future of VH? the 2007 'reunion tour' stint is most likely done with at this point be it due to legal, contractual, financial, member issues, what have you. there may just be too many obstacles at this point in time to even think of a tour, let alone a tour not in support of an entirely new studio album and containing ALL original members. to me, that would be a massive trainwreck. to rush something as just a tour, just forget about it for now. the bottom line i think, the basis of all the apparent anger and frustration aimed at ed and whatever 'band' there is, is the saying of absolutely NOTHING regarding the musical future of ed himself and or VH's. the longer nothing is said, serves only to fuel the fire's of anger and frustration, puzzles the heck out of all of us, and is starting to desensitize many who currently just say more or less, they wish em all VH well, but who cares. if they cant say anything, it is showing us that THEY dont care; so why should we? yes, we all stand or stood by as we watched events unfold, and things had to take their apparent course(s). here it comes again and again.... that damned question(s) that never seems to be addressed or answered (yet, that is).... what's happening Edward? what's the future of VH? is there a future for VH? WTF are you doing musically? we are SCREAMING... WHAT??? Please, tell us all something as we think 'we' deserve to know. hmmm..... i guess i've said all you can at this point.
