It should have been included on III imo. Pretty good song. The more I listen to it the more I like it.

I don't know where to get lyrics dude. Glad you liked the song. One of the best ones they recorded with Gary. Why it wasn't included on 3 I have no /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eureka.gif.

I'm in complete agreement. TWILY was one of the best, if not the best of the III tracks. Without You was a great tune, and the riff from FITH was outstanding, but other than that, the album was a disappointment. I liked "From Afar" and "Dirty Water Dog", but I don't like Van Halen trying to be too political in songs like Ballot Or The Bullet, and the lyrics to Fire In The Hole. IMHO, there is a time and a place for that, but not on a fucking Van Halen record. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/guitar3.gif

Hi all,
I agree with you all on this one. This tune is probably one of the best that they did with Gary. Although with Sammy singing on this one (maybe change some of the chorus melody), that would be awesome.
Peace,

This proves that Gary was a great singer for VH and they just kicked him out like the rest. I hope one day that we get a release on the other songs that Gary and VH were working on for another album before he was sent his way.
This song rocks.

I respectfully agree with half that. Gary Cherone is a great singer...but not with VH. I like the guy and all, but he would have never fit with the group. Van Halen fans are very loyal, and will only ever allow 2 singers in this band. I dig this song, don't get me wrong, but if you ask me Gary was lucky to make it as long as he did.

This is a song Hagar would have been all over...imagine Mike and Ed singing the chorus behind Sam in harmony (ala Top of the World), instead of Gary just barking out "That's Why I Love You". POW!
Hey, does anyone have "Between Us Two"? Supposedly the best unreleased VH track ever.

Regarding the post about "Between Us Two", I seem to remember hearing that it was never officially finished. It's very possible it ended up as one of the Gary Cherone songs w/ different lyrics. Sad.
My guess is that you'll never hear a note of that song. But hey, I hope I'm wrong.
